Multiple Grammy Award-winning singer Justin Timberlake is back with a solo album. The expected single “Selfish” is released today, accompanied by a music video. The pop track is driven by infectious melodies and listeners will hear the singer’s iconic soulful vocals. “Selfish” featuring Timberlake was written by Louis Bell (Taylor Swift, Post Malone), Cirkut (Maroon 5, The Weeknd), Theron Thomas, Amy Allen and produced by Timberlake, Louis Bell and Cirkut. The news is the first taste of the upcoming solo album “Everything I Thought It Was”, which will be released on March 15, 2024. The last solo record “Man of the Woods” was released in 2018.
The music video, directed by Bradley J. Calder (SZA, Tinashe), brings the song to life by pulling back the curtain on the creative process and blurring the line between fantasy and reality. It’s a raw and honest portrayal of Justin as both an artist and a person.
