The winter driving ban on the A10 Salzburg is now in force. It always applies on Fridays and Saturdays for vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of more than 7.5 tonnes. Here are the details.

Truck drivers must observe the winter driving ban on the A10 Salzburg from today, Friday, January 26, 2024. It is divided into a Friday driving ban and a Saturday driving ban and affects both southbound and northbound journeys. This is pointed out by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) for Munich and Upper Bavaria. The driving ban applies to vehicles with a permissible total weight of more than 7.5 tons and to trucks with trailers where the sum of the maximum permissible total weight of both vehicles exceeds 7.5 tons. That’s what it says in the Winter driving ban calendar A 10 2024 of the Republic of Austria.
The truck driving bans on Fridays
From January 26th to March 29th, 2024, the Friday driving ban for trucks applies from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Heading south: On the Villach direction between the Salzburg junction (A10 junction from the A1) and the Pongau junction. The driving ban applies to the corresponding traffic with the destination Italy or Slovenia or if the destination is to be reached via Italy or Slovenia (in transit).
In the north direction: On the Salzburg direction between the Rennweg junction and the Golling junction. The driving ban applies to the corresponding traffic with the destination Germany or the Czech Republic, or if the destination is to be reached via Germany or the Czech Republic (in transit).
The truck driving bans on Saturdays
From January 27th to March 30th, 2024, the Saturday driving ban for trucks applies from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m
Heading south: On the Villach direction between the Salzburg junction (A10 junction from the A1) and the Pongau junction, regardless of the destination.
In the north direction: On the Salzburg direction between the Rennweg junction and the Golling junction, regardless of the destination.
