The Government ordered an increase in the amounts of the Alimentar Card for February, which doubles the amounts if the December 2023 values are taken, going from $22,000 to $44,000. However, in January there was already an adjustment, the first of the Milei era on these benefits.
In this way, the update now is approximately 33%. This is clear from resolution 11/2024 published this Thursday in the Official Gazette and signed by the Ministry of Human Capital.
Starting next month, Families in vulnerable situations will receive $44,000, $69,000 or $91,000 depending on the number of children. In December those amounts were $22,000, $34,500, and $45,500, respectively. In January, however, they had risen to $33,000; $51,700 and 68,250.
This is the second increase given by Javier Milei’s administration on this benefit. In January, the Minister of Economy, Luis “Toto” Caputo had already confirmed a 50% increase for the Alimentar Card.
This first increase in the Milei era was made official, on Friday, December 22, through a resolution in the Official Gazette. “Families with a child from 0 to 14 years old who receive AUH, Universal Allowance for a Disabled Child, Pregnancy Allowance or Pension for mothers of seven or more children will go from receiving $22,000 to $33,057; those with two children from $34,500 to collect $51,750; while families with three or more children from 0 to 14 years of age who receive Universal Allowance for Children, Universal Allowance for Children with Disabilities or Pension for mothers of 7 or more children will go from receiving $45,500 to 68,250.

“The aforementioned increase is intended to restore the purchasing power of the aforementioned sectors.within the framework of the inflationary process that our country is going through, considering the increase in the Basic Food Basket (CBA) during recent months,” the Government argued in the recitals of the resolution signed by the Minister of Human Capital, Sandra Pettovello. .
