In fact, it is not uncommon for there to be special auctions for alcohol that has been brewing for decades. As reported by The Sun (23/1) there is a bottle of whiskey that has officially been named the most expensive in the world.

In November 2023, a bottle of whiskey with the Macallan 1926 brand became the most expensive whiskey. A bottle of whiskey is sold for IDR 1.5 billion.
But recently a whiskey called The Emerald Isle appeared and beat the most expensive whiskey in the world. This whiskey is specially made with the rarest single malt in the world.
The packaging is also specially designed with a uniquely shaped glass bottle and an elegantly painted logo. The Emerald Isle whiskey is packaged in a wooden box equipped with two special cups and an additional watch inside.
This whiskey is even more special because it has a Faberge egg made with precious emerald stones. At auction, the whiskey was sold for £2.2 million.

The price is equivalent to IDR 44 billion, so it officially beats The Macallan 1926 which sold for IDR 1.5 billion. This whiskey has also been matured for 30 years, so it is estimated that the taste will be extraordinarily special.
The Emerald Isle fell into the hands of a school collector from the United States named Mike Daley. This lucky man won the whiskey from The Craft Irish Whiskey Co.
“For me, luxury scotch (alcoholic drink) is in high demand in the market. But I see that luxury alcohol from Ireland is starting to become famous. I predict that in the future there will be more special scotches that are more popular,” said Mike Daley.
According to critics and alcohol observers, The Emerald Isle is seen as a valuable rarity. Moreover, the box is equipped with various objects made from special materials.
