President Andrés Manuel López Obrador responded to the governor of Chihuahua, Maru Campos Galván, who even used rudeness to complain to the federal government for not fulfilling its task in terms of security against federal crimes.

During the morning of this Wednesday, President López Obrador spoke about the controversial statements of Maru Campos, who called on the federal government to “stop being ignorant, if not saying stupid.”

López Obrador attributed the controversial statement by Governor Maru Campos to the electoral season that the country is experiencing, in which the president, eight governorships, the Head of Government of Mexico City, the Congress and hundreds of presidencies will be elected. municipal.

During the government of Maru Campos, the state of Chihuahua has been ranked fourth among the entities with the highest number of homicides in the entire country.

Figures from the federal government showed that the entity ended the year 2023 with a total of 2,072 murders, which, together with five other entities, accounted for 46% of the homicides that occurred throughout Mexico during the past year.

In this statistic, Chihuahua is behind states such as Guanajuato, with 3,104; the State of Mexico with 2,597 and Baja California with 2,417 murders.
