Estoril qualified this Tuesday for the final of the Portuguese Football League Cup, in which they will face Braga on Saturday, after eliminating Benfica in a match resolved in the penalty shootout after the 1-1 with the that the 90 minutes were over.
Frenchman Rafik Guitane put Estoril ahead in the 16th minute, but Argentinian Nicolás Otamendi scored for the Águilas in the 58th minute to establish the 1-1 score that led the duel to extra time at the Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa in Leiria. In the penalty shootout, and without prior extra time, João Mário, Otamendi, Arthur Cabral and Ángel di María scored for Benfica, but Tomás Araújo and Marcos Leonardo missed.

Rafik Guitane, Alejandro Marqués, Mor Ndiaye, Tiago Araújo and Bernardo Vital scored for Estoril and João Marques missed, but his team took the victory 4-5.
