They smuggled drugs by plane. In the dock of the accused, among others: “Duck Deal”

On Tuesday, the National Prosecutor’s Office announced that the Prosecutor of the West Pomeranian Branch of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Prosecutor’s Office in Szczecin had submitted an indictment against 12 people to the court in Zielona Góra.

They smuggled drugs by plane

The investigation into the case began in June 2021 at the airport in Zielona Góra – Przylep, where the pilot and instructor were detained red-handed on the plane. The machine was filled to the brim with marijuana, which, once put on sale, could have allowed for earnings of PLN 3.6 million.

While working on the case, it turned out that there were more similar smuggling cases. Drugs were brought to Poland and Germany by plane and truck from Spain. Moreover, significant amounts of cocaine entered the country from the Netherlands. The group was also preparing to import cocaine from Chile.

“In a short period of time, the perpetrators smuggled approximately 2,722 kg of marijuana, 310 kg of hashish, 5 kg of cocaine and planned to smuggle 100 kg of cocaine from Chile in South America to the Netherlands and then Poland, achieving a profit of over PLN 41 million, which constitutes a black market the wholesale price of drugs, while in retail sales the value of drugs was at least four times higher,” says PK.

Gang members invested in a plantation in Spain

As it turned out, a group of people belonging to a motorcycle gang were involved in the activities. Its members operated under the guise of a well-known international motorcycle club in Poznań. They had access to illegal weapons.

The prosecutor’s office determined that Krystian T. alias “Kris”, Marek A. alias “Kaczy Proceder” and other people invested in a marijuana plantation in Spain, from which drugs were imported to Poland via Germany.

The group included people who, apart from criminal activities, were also involved in legal business activities, including people associated with the music industry. Not only Poles are involved in the case, but also Spaniards, Albanians, Germans and citizens of other countries.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the accused include: Krzysztof T. alias “Kris”, Jarosław D. alias “Kaseta”, Krzysztof J., Marek A. ps. “The Duck Procedure”. They are accused of committing several dozen crimes related to leading and participating in an organized criminal group, as well as smuggling significant amounts of marijuana and hashish. The defendants face up to 15 years in prison.
