Mojokerto City – The first round of the National Immunization Sub Week (PIN) for Polio in Mojokerto City reached 101.9% or 16,523 children. This achievement is the second highest in East Java after the city of Surabaya.
Acting Mayor of Mojokerto, Moh Ali Kuncoro, explained that of the 16,523 children who had received Polio immunization, the majority were aged 0-59 months. That is, reaching 6,412 children. Followed by ages 5-
Ali also appreciated the performance of all parties who made the first round of Sub PIN Polio in Mojokerto City reach 101.9%. Apart from exceeding the target, this achievement is the second highest in East Java after the city of Surabaya.
“Thank God, thanks to the synergy of all health workers, cadres and all stakeholders related to the first round of Sub PIN Polio in the City of Mojokerto, it has been carried out. In fact, the achievement exceeds the target and is the second highest in East Java after the City of Surabaya,” he explained in his statement to detikJatimWednesday (24/1/2024).
The first round of Sub PIN Polio was held in Mojokerto City on 15-21 January 2024. This vaccination movement is to follow up on the Ministry of Health’s SE number IM.02.03/Menkes/1051/2023. Meanwhile, the second round will take place next month, 19-25 February.
Even though the first round has been completed, continued Ali, his party continues to search for children in his area who may not have received the Polio vaccine. He then appealed to the people of Mojokerto City to participate in making the second round of Sub PIN Polio a success.
“I remind mothers who have children aged 0-7 years 11 months who have not received polio vaccination, please go to the community health center immediately. Don’t forget that there will be a second round of Polio Sub PIN in February 2024,” he said.
