After its goal scored by Toko-Ekambi (51st), Cameroon was caught shortly before the end of regulation time, with a goal from Ablie Jallow (72nd), even before being beaten in the 87th minute, with a goal scored by Toko-Ekambi (51st). ‘Ebrima Colley (2-1). Luck or not, the Lions manage to get back together, two minutes later (87th, 2-2), with an own goal from the Gambian defender, James Gomez. Then, a third goal for Rigobert Song’s men in stoppage time (90th, 2-3), to snatch 2nd place in Group C from Guinea.
With 4 points and a better goal difference, the Lions clinch their ticket to the round of 16. Guinea, 3rd in the group with also 4 points, is certain to finish among the four best thirds in the competition.
