Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Apple has indeed started opening orders for headset mixed reality (MR) made by him, Vision Pro, for buyers in the United States (US).
However, on its official website, Apple seems to be warning buyers from other countries to think carefully if they want to buy the Vision Pro from the US.
The reason is, Apple will impose a number of restrictions if consumers from other countries buy Vision Pro sold in the US.
Collect MacrumorsWednesday (24/1/2024), in the FAQ page for pre-order Apple Vision Pro, the company said that there are several features that can only be accessed on devices for the US region.
For example, the Apple Vision Pro only supports US English, as well as Siri and Dictation. The available App Store also requires an Apple ID with a US region, which is also required if users want to make purchases in the Apple Music and TV applications.
In addition, for users with eye disorders who need additional optical inserts, Zeiss will only accept prescriptions written by US healthcare professionals, and can only be shipped to locations within that country.
Some apps, features and content on Apple’s MR headset may also not be available in other countries, as they are restricted to the US only. Apple Support will also only be available in that country.
The new Apple Vision Pro will launch to customers in the US on February 2, 2024. Apple hopes to release the Vision Pro to more countries this year.
Reportedly, Apple is likely to launch the Vision Pro outside the US before the 2024 Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) in June, with Canada and the UK apparently being the first two countries to get sales of this device.
