Magetan District Attorney’s detainee escaped after undergoing trial at the local district court (PN). The prisoner who escaped was named Wisnu Wijaya (38), a resident of Manisrejo Village, Karangrejo District. He is a defendant in a rape case.
From CCTV footage, the defendant escaped by jumping through the fence through the Tax Office which is next to the Magetan District Court.
“From the Magetan District Court CCTV footage, it is known that the defendant managed to jump over the left fence and headed towards the Tax Office. Tax Office security then reported to Magetan District Court security that there were people wearing black clothes running towards the main road,” said Head of the Magetan District Court, Yuana Nurshiyam, as reported. detikJatimTuesday (23/1/2023).
He explained that the defendant ran away at around 13.00 WIB after the trial with the agenda of examining witnesses. The defendant escaped allegedly preparing himself with the tools he brought to open the prison lock at the Magetan District Court.
The defendant even changed his originally white clothes to black.
