Many technology fans have been waiting for smart glasses that can mix realities, i.e. ours and the virtual one. Apple introduced its new initiative last June and many people got excited about the product. This also proves the speed with which these “ski goggles” sold out.
Imagine that you are sitting in your chair at work, but in front of you you do not have a hideous gray carpet and a chipped desk with a monitor, but instead you have a meadow full of bees, bumblebees and yellow flowers, you can see the Alps in the distance and the sky is unrealistically blue . Suddenly, your colleague Karel appears out of nowhere in a meadow in a white shirt with a coffee stain and wants you to give a presentation for a client. I guess that’s how Apple Vision Pro works. The glasses can be controlled using eyes, voice and various gestures. You can easily shake hands with Karel and you will not reach into the void, because Karel belongs to our reality. However, if you want to go to the track on a nearby mountain, it will be more difficult. You can switch between realities with the control crown.

The high price did not deter interested parties
It is not surprising that the glasses sold out immediately, despite the fact that they cost 3,499 dollars, i.e. approximately 80,000 crowns without VAT. And we are talking about the basic version with 256 GB of storage. So far, no one knows whether such a capacity will be enough at all. However, according to Kuo, the initial interest will eventually wane. This is because Vision Pro is a specific product and ordinary people probably won’t be interested in buying it. The first customers will receive their glasses at the beginning of February. Kuo wrote on his blog that Apple could sell a total of 500,000 Vision Pro glasses this year. However, he originally stated that he would only make 60,000 or 80,000 of them.

Analysts from Morgan Stanley predicted that Apple will sell 300,000 to 400,000 Apple Vision Pro glasses this year. Wall Street analysts predict a great future for Apple thanks to their sales.
For Czech fans of virtual reality, it is a big early piece of information, or rather its absence, that the glasses should come to Europe. Sales have so far only been announced in the US. It is possible to “smuggle” glasses into the Czech Republic, but there are certain difficulties. For example, you need a US Apple ID to shop at the US Apple Store. In addition, some functions may not work in the European environment. In addition, the only supported language is English, which is not such a problem in today’s global world.
