From February 1, the rates of income tax paid by individuals renting residential (non-residential) premises to other individuals for a long-term period will change, reports Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The Ministry of Taxes warned that for February 2024, income tax will be paid at new rates, and the tax payment deadline is no later than February 1, 2024.
“If the tax payment for February was made at the old rates, then an additional payment must be made no later than February 1,” the ministry noted.
The new rates can be found on the Ministry of Taxes website. Thus, the tax for renting out an apartment in Minsk will be 47 rubles for each living room (previously it was 43.9 rubles). In regional centers it will be lower – 44 rubles (previously 41.2 rubles).
For housing rental in large regional centers (for example, Baranovichi, Bobruisk, Borisov, Volkovysk, Lida), the rate will increase to 29 rubles (from 27 rubles).
Income tax rates for renting out garages, as before, depend on the type of garage and the category of the locality in which they are located, and vary from 5 rubles to 20 rubles per month per garage.
