Ukraine Assured Further Military Support, Including Long-Range Weapons, at Ramstein Meeting

At the 18th meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine (Ramstein format) on January 23, Kyiv’s allies assured further military support, including long-range weapons.

Details: According to Pavlyuk, the Ukrainian side at Ramstein heard “enough important statements from partners, enough important commitments to say that strong support for Ukraine will continue.”

He clarified that Ukraine will receive from its partners the weapons necessary to effectively defeat the enemy both on the line of contact and in the rear. Among other things, commitments were made to provide Ukraine with long-range weapons.

“There is a full understanding of our partners that we need these weapons and a commitment to work to provide Ukraine with more weapons for such attacks,” the representative of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense emphasized, without specifying what kind of weapons we are talking about.

Let us remind you that the current meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine took place online and was focused on the long-term needs of Kyiv.

It is known that Canada, during the 18th Ramstein, announced a new military aid package Kyiv and the involvement of Canadian instructors in training Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighters, and Germany for the first time will transfer military helicopters.
