Platelet donors are requested for bone marrow transplant, for little Mateo Velazco Mazas, admitted to the La Raza General Hospital.

The steps to donate are:

The requirements to be a donor:

• Come with a valid official identification with a photo.
• Be from 18 to 65 years old
• Weigh more than 50 kilograms
• Minimum fast of four hours (avoid consuming fatty foods 24 hours before donation, do not exceed fasting hours)
• Not having been sick with the flu, cough, diarrhea or dental infection in the last 14 days
• Not having taken medications in the last five days
• Not having undergone endodontic treatment, acupuncture or having had tattoos or piercings in the last 12 months
• Not having been vaccinated in the last 30 days
• Not having consumed alcoholic beverages in the 72 hours prior to the donation
• If you have high blood pressure and it is controlled, you may be a candidate for donation.
