What is PalWorld?
It is a survival game in which the player lives with and marries creatures called Pals.
The game is available for download through the digital video game distribution platform Steam, which describes the game as follows:
“This is a huge and original open-world multiplayer survival game, in which you will have to get hold of mysterious creatures called Pals, capable of fighting, building, farming and working in factories.”
PalWorld vs Pokémon
The game is the target of comparisons to Pokémon due to the Pals’ physical appearance and other similarities to the Japanese cartoon.
Like Pokémon, free Pals live in nature as wild creatures that the protagonist can catch, this is done through “pal spheres” or “pal waits”, very similar to Pokémon pokeballs.
There are also Pals that accompany and serve humans.
The game premiered on January 19 on Steam and according to some players, the difference between Pokémon and PalsWorld is that in the latter there are weapons.
With or without similarities, the game is reaching a large number of users:
“The number of Steam users currently playing #Palworld has exceeded 1.85 million,” noted the game’s official profile through its social networks.
