Free Covid-19 Vaccines in Mexico City: Locations and Details

The increase in Covid-19 cases in Mexico City has caused health authorities to mobilize to make free vaccines available.

Health authorities are fighting against positive cases of Covid-19, although they have not yet gotten out of control and have not caused overcrowding in hospitals.

IS THE COVID-19 VACCINE FREE?

According to information from the Secretary of Health of Mexico City, the entire population of the country’s capital will have access to the Covid-19 vaccine for free during the months of January and February.

According to the National Epidemiological Surveillance System (SINAVE), Mexico City is the entity that has presented the most positive cases of Covid-19 so far in 2024.

So far, CDMX has presented more than 20 thousand positive cases of Covid-19 during the first three weeks of 2024.

HOW LONG WILL THE COVID-19 VACCINE BE FREE?

According to information from the Secretary of Health of Mexico City, the Covid-19 vaccine will be free in CDMX during the months of January and February.

Reports from the SARI Network of the Ministry of Health, and the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), indicate that at least 16 health centers are at the limit of their capacity, including CDMX itself, the State of Mexico, and Hidalgo. and Querétaro; the ones that have presented the most problems.

WHERE IS THE COVID-19 VACCINE APPLIED?

The health authorities have already indicated the health centers where the vaccines against Covid-19 can be applied.

For now, the two applicable vaccines are Sputnik and Abdala and it will be free for those who can identify themselves as adults. The vaccines will be applicable in the following health centers:

  • Álvaro Obregón: in the Minas de Cristo and Manuel Escontria health centers.
  • Azcapotzalco: CS T-III Sovereign Rooster and Vine and CS T-III Dr. Manuel Martinez.
  • Benito Juarez: CS T-III Portals and CS T-III Mixcoac.
  • Coyoacan: CS T-III Margarita Chorné and Salazar, Center for Naval Health Studies and CS T-III San Francisco Culhuacan.
  • Magdalena Contreras: CS T-III Oasis and CS T-III Angel of the Brito Heron.
  • Miguel Hidalgo: CS T-III Mexico Spain and CS T-III Dr. Ángel Brioso Vasconcelos.
  • Milpa High: CS T-III Gaston Melo and CS T-III Villa Milpa High.
  • Cover: CS T-III DR. Jose Castro Villagrana and CS T-III Mayan Culture.
  • Tláhuac: CS T-III Miguel Hidalgo and CS T-III San Francisco Tlatenco.
