Russell Crowe Warns About Deepfake Video Promoting Maltese Real Estate App: ‘It’s Fake,’ Actor Says

celebritiesAn advertising video of Russell Crowe (59) is doing the rounds on social media. He promotes an app from a real estate company from Malta. But the video is fake, the actor said on X.

“Don’t fall for it. This company must be dubious and unreliable to do this method of promotion,” he writes. Crowe asks everyone to block, report and certainly ignore the video. He emphasizes that he has never used the application.

The link with Malta seems far-fetched, but the Australian actor regularly visits the island. For example, he performed there in June with his band The Gentlemen Barbers and several scenes from the 2000 film ‘Gladiator’ were filmed in Malta.
