The New York City Department of Education launched a new app that allows parents and guardians to get the exact location of the school bus their children are riding.
Through its website, the organization detailed that the tool offers real-time monitoring of yellow school buses, as they progress along the route to school. Click here to download the app.
After installing the app on your tablet or phone, you must log in to your New York City Public Schools account by entering your student ID number.
They also specified that 75% of the buses in the Big Apple have joined the registry.
In case the route is not available for tracking, parents and guardians can ask the school to add it to the tool.
