After playing a trial match against League 3 club, Dejan FC, Persija will test the strength of Persita Tangerang.
In the trial match against Dejan FC, the Kemayoran Tigers managed to win with a landslide score of 7-1, Sunday (21/1/2024).
Persija coach, Thomas Doll, said he was quite satisfied with the performance given by Aji Kusuma and his colleagues.
“Of course I am happy to see that they were able to give a good performance in their first trial at the beginning of this year,” said Thomas.
The German coach revealed that this week the coaching team continued to make improvements.
The trial match between Persija Jakarta and Persita Tangerang will take place behind closed doors.
“After this we plan to continue training and try to cover the shortcomings that the players have,” said Thomas.
“This weekend we will play against Persita as a test match,” continued the former Al-Hilal coach.
For your information, the 2023/24 Liga 1 event is currently paused as a form of full support for the Indonesian national team competing in the 2023 Asian Cup.
The highest football competition in the country will be played again on February 4 2024.
However, on January 30 there will be postponed matches between Persebaya Surabaya vs PSIS Semarang and Persis Solo vs Madura United.
The Kemayoran Tigers will face Borneo FC in the first match in 2024.
