In the last game, the Waldviertel women got off to a sensational start in the game against the second-placed team from Perg. Powerful attacks, extremely stable reception and almost error-free moves soon gave the Waldviertel women a good lead. However, the Mühlviertler women showed strong will and fought their way back to their guests point by point with strong defensive maneuvers and put the URW women under a lot of pressure with strong block work. “It wasn’t a big surprise that we lost today – we were gross underdogs. Our performance, especially in the first set, was absolutely top and we can build on that. We can expect more in the next three home games,” said coach Stefan Löschenbrand optimistically.
