Blogger Ross Scott to File Class Action Lawsuit Against Ubisoft Over Closure of The Crew Online Game

As it became known, the blogger Ross Scott (Accursed Farms) is going to file a class action lawsuit against the company Ubisoft – for closing the servers and access to the online game The Crew in December 2023.

Scott wants prohibit such cases in the gaming industry – in his opinion, the French publisher brazenly overnight deprived buyers of access to the purchased product, completely devaluing it, and did not even explain the reason for this decision.

Since Ubisoft sold the game not as a subscription or service, but as a perpetual product, the blogger believes that he has a chance of success in this matter. Scott doesn’t like the fact that any online games can be closed at any time by other publishers without any compensation for the money invested in them, so he wants the lawsuit against Ubisoft to become a precedent.

At the moment, Scott asked everyone who cares about the fate of online games and who would be willing to sign a class action lawsuit to write to him by email – he wants to see how relevant this problem will be for people in principle. The blogger also clarified that if he does not have enough of his own funds for legal costs, he may have to turn to his audience for help.
