The “Behind the Wheel” expert spoke about the features of the used Volvo XC90 crossover
The first generation of the Volvo XC90 crossover was produced from 2002 to 2014. The Swedish manufacturer assembled this model primarily for the North American market. Expert “Behind the wheel» told how to choose this car on the secondary market. He noted that the cross has such advantages as reliability, comfort and safety. In addition, the Volvo XC90 has a body that is resistant to corrosion, high ground clearance of 218 mm and a large trunk that can accommodate up to 600 liters of luggage. The interior is lined with high-quality materials, and the list of features does not include advanced displays.
The disadvantages include expensive repairs and spare parts. The expert considered all available power units to be of relatively high quality – the range includes a 3.2-liter naturally aspirated engine, a 2.4-liter diesel engine and gasoline power plants. The expert considered the 238-horsepower naturally aspirated 3.2-liter engine to be the best option, but it has a number of minor problems, and fuel consumption in this case will be 22-25 l/100 km. A manual transmission is rare, and among automatic transmissions it is not recommended to take the version with the GM 4T65E with a 4-speed design. The car also has a strong chassis, but the downside is the rapid wear of the brake discs and pads. Cost – from 1.15 to 2.54 million rubles, depending on the year of manufacture and configuration (photo: Volvo).
Meanwhile, Chinese crossovers continue to be purchased for Russian officials. The vehicle fleet of the Omsk City Hall will be replenished with 14 Haval Jolyon vehicles.
