Ronaldo feels self-conscious. He is unlikely to compete for major honors in the future as he is now playing in Saudi Arabia.
“I always think about my club and national team first. This award is given after a good season for both the club and the national team. “To be honest, I didn’t think too much about it,” continued the former MU, Real Madrid and Juventus player.
“As you said, the 54 goals I scored during 2023, maybe some say it was easier because I was in Saudi Arabia,” he added.
“But football professionals know that it is difficult to score goals, whether in Saudi Arabia or in Italy, Spain or Portugal. A goal is a goal. “On the one hand, I feel more proud to have beaten Haaland, Mbappe and Harry Kane,” explained Ronaldo.
