While Evan Fournier hopes to be traded before the deadline, the Knicks are not yet certain of taking action. A player, traded just a few days ago, is nevertheless inclined to join the Big Apple and Tom Thibodeau.
Still on the bench this Saturday evening, Evan Fournier did not find minutes after playing earlier in the week. This confirms that the Frenchman does not enter into Tom Thibodeau’s plans, except when the coach has to deal with an absentee. The rest of the time, the former Magic player must be content to watch his partners on the sidelines. A pretty cruel scenario for him.
A player asks the Knicks to sign him
His only hope, especially before the start of the Olympic Games, is a trade. Fournier has a team option for next year, but he could be traded before the February deadline if the Knicks find their happiness. A name that has been coming up for a few days? Bruce Brown, recently sent to the Raptors for Pascal Siakam. The fullback is just ready to come to New York.

Bruce Brown : “I play extremely hard on both ends of the floor. I can do what Tom Thibodeau expects of me. I think I’m the type of player he likes. Every time we play against Thibs, I go up to him and shake his hand, just for what he did. I have nothing but respect for him. (…) I love New York. I hated it before, but when I moved here (he played for the Nets, editor’s note), I loved it. »
Brown therefore makes no secret of it: he is completely in favor of coming to the Knicks. We don’t know if the front office will be sensitive to such talk, but know that Brown has a salary of 22 million per year, which means that Fournier is almost guaranteed to find himself in such a deal if the former Nugget joins. the Big Apple.

The guy hasn’t even been with the Raptors for a week.
Having barely arrived at the Raptors, Bruce Brown already sees himself joining the Knicks in the days to come… at least if the franchise wants him. Let’s hope that’s the case, since Evan Fournier could be involved.
