According to the website of the Hungarian Ice Hockey Association, the Night of Ice Rinks has been organized every year since 2016. Although the flagship of the event is the legendary Városliget Ice Rink, nearly fifty rural venues joined in and organized ice hockey and music programs all over the country – even in Csíkszentimre in Transylvania.
Additional programs and sports activities were prepared at several locations.
Anyone could step on the ice in the Dunaújváros Ice Rink on Saturday between 18:00 and 23:00 as part of the event. In the first half of the program, free time, a slalom course, and various skill tasks awaited those interested, and then the Jégfény Party provided the opportunity for popular musical skating. As promised on the Facebook community page, there was music, a party, friends and a raffle, and overall a really fantastic atmosphere.
