Since the sale of the Pfizer anticovid vaccine began in pharmacies in Tijuana, sales have been increasing.
During a tour carried out by ZETA, it was possible to verify the lack of the medicine, where it is already on sale, because “it runs out very quickly.”

“Right now we don’t have any, we have placed an order and it hasn’t arrived, but we are running out very quickly… the last batch they brought us was last week, there were 100 vaccines and we ran out very quickly,” the manager of Ahorro pharmacy, Benítez branch.
He pointed out that since the sale of the vaccine began, at the end of 2024, they received 10 and up to 40 doses, while now, they receive batches of 100.
“Last week people came to ask about the vaccine, but we had already run out, so they stopped coming, but now there are more branches,” he said.

At first, only the Benítez and Peninsula branch, on Insurgentes Boulevard, was where the organic was sold, now there are three more branches in Flamingos, on Cuauhtémoc Sur Boulevard, in Otay and on Cucapah Boulevard.
On the subject, Erwin Aréizaga Uribe reported in a statement that reviews have already begun in the pharmacies where the vaccine is marketed.
During the inspections, they check that they have a special refrigerator to maintain the biological, permits and training.
However, the manager of the Benítez branch commented that no inspector has come to that branch, but they have all the permits and are waiting for them to review them.
According to information obtained by ZETA, there is already the Abdalá vaccine, of Cuban origin, in Health Jurisdiction 2, and in the health centers of Tijuana, Tecate and Rosarito, however, only for older adults and people with comorbidities, although in some sites it has been applied to people in general.
