Saanen Bank increased its net profit in the last financial year. There will soon be a change in management.

The Saanen Bank’s total assets increased by 49.4 million francs in its 149th financial year. At the end of 2023 it was 1.832 billion francs, which corresponds to an increase of 2.8 percent. The bank writes this in a media release.
“The main reasons for the growth are the increase in loans by 68.9 million francs (+5.1 percent) and the increase in customer funds by 35.9 million francs (+2.5 percent),” it says. Despite the “challenging framework conditions”, the securities business has increased thanks to the expansion of asset management.
The “very good business performance” ensured that the Saanen Bank’s eligible equity capital increased to 147.3 million francs. The net profit in the last financial year again amounted to 3.091 million francs.
Müller replaces Zumbrunnen
After more than 40 years at the bank and 17 in the management, Urs Zumbrunnen, deputy chairman of the management, will retire at the end of April. “His successor Nadja Müller will start as a new member of the management team on February 1, 2024,” states the Saanen Bank. This year it is also celebrating its 150th anniversary. The actual birthday should be celebrated “appropriately” on Wednesday, July 17th.
