Qatar’s Andy Delort Recovers from Illness: Gives Reassuring News for RMC

Victim of illness at the beginning of January in Qatar, Andy Delort recovered well after this “little bout of fatigue”. He gave his news for RMC.

Andy Delort is doing much better. Victim of discomfort in the middle of the final of the Star Cup, won on January 6 by his club Umm Salal against Al Arabi, in Qatar, the Algerian international gave reassuring news for RMC Sport this Friday.

“I felt a little tired”

“Hello to the whole RMC team! It’s Andy Delort to tell you that everything is going very well. I had a little bit of fatigue. We did the tests, it’s going very well. Don’t forget that we’re going to start again at Rothen’s with shows where we’re going to talk about everything and nothing, but especially football. See you soon friends, big kisses and long live Ligue 1”, confides the former Nice player, consultant this season for the Rothen show ignites on RMC.

His discomfort occurred at the end of the first quarter of an hour against Al Arabi. Ten minutes after scoring in Doha, Delort suddenly collapsed. The caregivers quickly intervened to help him while he was convulsing, under the worried gaze of his partners.

Evacuated, he was able to follow the end of the match near the substitutes’ bench, and therefore witnessed his team’s victory on penalties (4-4, 3-1 tab). Aged 32, he has been playing at Umm Salal since last summer, after spending six complicated months in Nantes. He is under contract until June 2025 and has scored five goals in 12 games.
