Developer Crisalu Games announced on January 18th the dungeon cleaning game “Goblin CleanupWe have started distributing the trial version of “. The supported platform is PC (Steam).
“Goblin Cleanup” is a work with the theme of cleaning a dungeon that has been conquered by an adventurer. Supports solo play and online cooperative play with up to 3 people. Players take on the role of a goblin maid who is a professional cleaner and restores a ransacked dungeon for the next group of adventurers. Clean, restore traps and furniture, restock treasure chests, and respawn monsters.
This work includes multiple dungeons, each with its own background story, and each dungeon has multiple stages. You can unlock them as you progress through the game. In the early stage included in the trial version that has been distributed this time, the goal is to clean up blood stains, rearrange scattered objects such as furniture, and dispose of lumps of flesh that appear to be from monsters defeated by adventurers. .
There are blood stains all over the floor and walls, which must be cleaned up using a mop. The player has a stick-like tool with a thorn on the end, takes out slime from a dispenser in the stage, and stabs it to create a mop. So when you scrub it, the slime will absorb the blood stains. The slime’s comically drawn eyes express its emotions, and it’s kind of cute. You can check the location of blood stains by scanning the stage, so be sure to wipe them off without missing them.
While cleaning up the blood stains with a mop, the blue slime gradually turns red, and when it reaches its limit, it not only becomes unable to absorb any more dirt, but also smears the blood and makes a mess. If this happens, dispose of the used slime by having the mimic disguised as a treasure box eat it. Then, procure new slime from the dispenser.
The aforementioned monster flesh is also picked up and thrown into the Mimic to be disposed of. It is also possible to carry the Mimic in your arms and let it eat as it goes. However, if you carelessly approach the Mimic head-on, you will be eaten, so be careful. He will respawn immediately, but he will have to do more work by spewing out his own blood and flesh.
When it comes to scattered objects, you’ll probably have to run around the stage trying to find the original location for each type of object. There are also traps on the stage, and if you accidentally get caught in one, you will turn into a lump of meat. The presence of these mimics and traps may be an exciting element in cooperative play.
In addition to the appearance of dungeons and stages with more environments, the product version will have various elements such as dangerous monsters wandering around and tools to use to deal with such monsters. A character customization function using stage rewards is also planned to be implemented.
“Goblin Cleanup” is available on PC (Steam), the release date is undecided. There are plans to further develop the game through early access distribution, and it appears that Japanese support is also planned. The trial version is currently being distributed.
