On Saturday, January 20, Sparta Prague’s football players will play their first friendly match in winter training, starting at 3 p.m. they will compete against FC Copenhagen. O2 TV Sport viewers will be treated to a special use of multi-dimensions in the live broadcast.
For the first time in the history of Czech football broadcasting, fans will have the opportunity to watch the match through the eyes of the referee. They will also hear live the complete communication between the head referee and the players.
The BodyCam will be attached to the head referee and one of his assistants. O2 TV Sport will use the footage as cuts between footage from standard cameras, and at the same time offer it as a separate broadcast.
“We have already successfully implemented this element in the broadcast of the hockey extra league, where it has gained great popularity,” commented the director of O2 TV Sport, Marek Kindernay.
The live broadcast on O2 TV Sport starts on Saturday at 2:50 p.m., and will be commented by Radek Šilhan and Václav Pilný. Reporter Denisa Doležalová will bring observations from the playing field. Production of the broadcast will be provided by O2 TV Production.

“We are very happy that the enthusiasm for the technological development of sports is shared with us by O2 TV Sport, without whose willingness and openness we would not be able to implement such a large project. At the same time, we are pleased that this is not only a follow-up to the last joint project, but that we were able to significantly advance it, and thus actively participate in the possible future of football. I would also like to thank the committee of judges, with whom we communicate the entire project and who also sanctified it,” added Sparta’s marketing director Kamil Veselý.
