Rostock – On Saturday the welcomes U23 von Hansa Rostock the 1. FC Phoenix Lübeck (3 p.m). It is the first “real” game for the Eagles since November. In the meantime, people only played football indoors. A groundbreaking game in the Regionalliga Nord is coming up in just a week. The people of Lübeck are expecting Hannover 96 to attend the summit on January 27th.
Hansa reserve a real endurance test
Despite the lack of match practice, the Lübeck team are traveling to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania with a lot of self-confidence. They won the Confima Cup and were only eliminated from the indoor masters in Kiel in the semi-finals against the eventual winner Kilia Kiel. The Rostock second representation occupies the penultimate place in the Regionalliga Nordost. However, that doesn’t mean anything, because the young and wild from the “Kogge” want to give everything to win the test match.
“We had to improvise a lot”
Phoenix trainer Christiano Adigo says to HL-SPORTS: “The preparation was a little different than usual. Due to the weather we had to improvise a bit, but the boys are really keen. I feel really comfortable and have settled in well over the last six months. The boys are all proud to wear the eagle on their chest. For me, our ranking is absolutely no surprise. We are looking forward to Rostock and are ready.”
