Pepper bowed to Hyundai Engineering & Construction with a set score of 1 to 3 (9-25 31-29 26-28 19-25) in the 2023-2024 season V-League 4th round home game held at Pepper Stadium in Gwangju on the 19th. Hyundai Engineering & Construction (58 points, 19 wins, 5 losses), which earned 3 points along with 6 consecutive wins, widened the gap with second place Heungkuk Life Insurance (50 points, 18 wins, 6 losses) and solidified its lead.

Pepper’s last win was against GS Caltex in Seoul on November 10 last year. Currently, they are in 7th place out of 7 clubs (7 points, 2 wins, 22 losses) and are the only team with less than double-digit points. Pepper, the youngest club founded in 2021, has been in last place in the league for the past two seasons. They performed poorly each season with 17 consecutive losses, and also experienced a shocking record of 20 consecutive losses over two seasons.

The 2012-2013 season, KGC Ginseng Corporation (currently CheongKwanJang), is within sight of the women’s record for the most consecutive losses in a single season (20 consecutive losses).
