Soccer player Hwang Ui-jo, who is suspected of illegal filming and secondary assault, has been banned from leaving the country.

Mr. Hwang even submitted a request to recuse himself from the investigator, claiming that the police were overinvestigating, but it was not accepted.

Reporter Cho Hee-hyung covered the story.

Hwang Ui-jo, who first appeared at the police last November on charges of illegal filming, did not appear at the police due to reasons such as the English soccer league schedule at the end of last year and early this month.

Finally, after a third police request, a private investigation was conducted on the 12th and 15th.

The police then announced on the 16th that Mr. Hwang was banned from leaving the country.

It is reported that this measure was taken to prevent Mr. Hwang from leaving the country until the investigation is completed as he has repeatedly failed to respond to police requests for attendance.

Mr. Hwang immediately objected.

Even though he did not receive a summons notice, the summons schedule was made public to the press, and the fact that he was accused was being spread, and attendance was being coordinated, but it was incorrectly reported as if he had refused.

He also claimed that he was forced to leave his team without permission due to the ban on leaving the country, and that a financial loss of about 300 million won is expected as a result.

He then submitted a request to recuse himself from the investigator, but the police did not accept it.

According to regulations, an application to evade an investigator can only be made in cases of complaint or accusation filed at the police station, but Mr. Hwang’s case is one that the police were aware of.

Previously, in June of last year, Hwang Ui-jo filed a complaint with the police to investigate a person who claimed to be his ex-lover and posted photos and videos of Hwang and women on social media.

However, during this process, Mr. Hwang’s illegal filming was discovered and he was converted into a suspect.

″The situation in which the victim knew that there was an illegal video and requested its deletion was that it was filmed against her will (that’s right.) Why would she ask for the video to be deleted even though she was in a relationship?″

However, Mr. Hwang denies the charges, saying that the victim was aware of the filming and consented to it.
