Madonna Sued for Late Concert Start Times – Fans Demand Refunds

American media report this as: TMZ in Page Six who say they have court documents in their hands.

The two claim that Madonna breached her contract by starting three of her concerts in New York late. The shows all started after 10:30 PM, while the communicated start time was 8:30 PM.

Up early

The men claim that visitors who had to ‘get up early for work’ the next day suffered damage. They also speak of ‘deceptive business practices and false advertising’.

The men acknowledge that Madonna had serious health problems last year, but according to them these are not valid reasons for structurally appearing late on stage. The men want, among other things, the money they paid for their tickets, equivalent to several hundred euros, back.

It is not the first time that the Queen of Pop has faced lawsuits, also for concerts that started too late. But these matters were settled amicably.

Ziggo Dome

At the beginning of December last year, Madonna performed two concerts in the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. She also kept her fans waiting for a long time during the first concert. The 65-year-old artist didn’t take the stage until 10:30 p.m., about an hour and a half after the support act had ended. As a result, several fans were only able to see half an hour of the concert before they had to leave to catch the train.

Festival organizer MOJO had already warned fans before the concert about possible delays. Ultimately, Madonna’s performance finished around 12:45 am.

Madonna also appeared later than planned in London and Belgium.
