The universe is very vast. The earth, moon, sun, stars, asteroids, galaxies and other planets in outer space are part of the universe. Even the earth, which some people consider quite large, is only a small part of the vastness of nature.

The Strangest Objects in Space
Astronomers are known to discover new things in the universe every day. Here are some of the strangest new phenomena or objects ever discovered.
1. Ringed Haumea
Reporting from the Live Science page, a small planet called Haumea orbits in the Kuiper Belt which is outside Neptune. It is elongated, has two months, and one day only lasts four hours. Therefore, this planet is known as the object with the fastest rotation in the solar system.
But in 2017, astronomers observing Haumea discovered something strange. This planet has a thin ring that orbits around it when it passes in front of a star. They estimate that the ring appeared as a result of a collision that occurred in the past.
2. Mysterious Radio Signal
In 2007, researchers received a mysterious ultrastrong and ultrabright radio signal that lasted only a few milliseconds. These signal flashes are known as fast radio bursts (FRB) and are thought to come from billions of light years away.
Scientists managed to recapture a repeating FRB that flashed six times in a row in 2019. This second signal may help researchers uncover this strange phenomenon.
3. The Moon that Has a Moon
In outer space there is a moon that revolves around the moon, this is known as a moonmoon. There are also those who call them submoons, moonitos, grandmoons, moonettes and mooons.
Even so, this moonmoon is still only theoretical. However, the latest calculations reveal that there is nothing impossible about the occurrence of this phenomenon.
4. Diamond Planet
Quoting from National Geographic, a planet in outer space that is rich in diamond-producing carbon is called 55 Cancri e. This planet is twice the size of Earth and has eight times its mass.
The diamond planet was first detected in 2011 as it orbited its parent star. 55 Cancri e orbits its star in just 18 hours. As a result, the surface temperature of this planet reached 2,150 degrees Celsius, making it uninhabitable and the carbon it contains is suitable for producing diamonds.
5. Darkening Star
Tabetha Boyajian, an astronomer from Louisiana State University and her colleagues were confused when they first saw the star nicknamed KIC 846285.
This object, nicknamed Tabby’s star, will experience a decrease in brightness, sometimes up to 22 percent, at irregular intervals and for strange periods of time.
Most researchers believe that this happened because KIC 846285 was surrounded by an abnormal ring of dust that caused the star to darken.
6. Galaxies Without Dark Matter
Dark matter or dark matter is a substance that makes up 85 percent of all matter in the universe. Researchers believe this material is scattered everywhere.
However, scientists were confused when they witnessed a strange galaxy that appeared to contain almost no dark matter in March 2018.
7. Hyperion Electric Transmitter
Saturn’s Hyperion is an irregular rock like pumice filled with many craters. Between 2004-2017, NASA’s Cassini spacecraft visited the Saturn system and found that Hyperion was filled with static electricity particles that flowed into space.
8. Planet with Aurora Light
A planet-sized object that is 200 light years away and has a magnetic field 200 times stronger than Jupiter is known as SIMP J01365663+0933473. With a strong enough magnetic field, this object produces aurora flashes on the surface of its atmosphere that can be seen with radio telescopes.
9. Cold Star
Quoted from the Futurism page, astronomers discovered a star that is cooler than ice. This star is located in a galaxy equivalent to 7.2 light years from Earth.
Cool stars are small and no bigger than 40-50 Jupiter-sized planets. This star is faint and does not emit as much light as other stars, so its temperature is lower and is depicted in red.
10. Living Fossil Galaxy
The ultradiffuse galaxy (UDG), nicknamed DGSAT I, is as large as the Milky Way galaxy but its stars are spread out so they are almost invisible.
In 2016, scientists realized that DGSAT I appeared to be alone when observing it. This object is not like other UDGs which are generally clustered.
Therefore, DGSAT I is thought to have formed in a different era around 1 billion years after the Big Bang, making it a living fossil.
11. Neutron Star Infrared Flow
Neutron stars form after the death of ordinary stars. These very dense stars emit higher energy radiation waves such as X-rays.
But in September 2018, astronomers discovered something unusual. They observed a long stream of infrared light coming from a neutron star 800 light years from Earth.
12. Newly Discovered Blobs
The term ‘newfound blob’ refers to a newly discovered celestial body that appears as a shapeless or irregular region in space.
These objects often emit light of certain wavelengths. The Newfound blob also consists of large gas bubbles with galaxies called Lyman Alpha Blobs.
This newly discovered blob is the largest known blob located about 11 billion light years from Earth and stretches more than 200 million light years. Some of the bubbles are even 400 thousand light years across.
13. Pillars of Creation
Quoted from the NASA website, the pillars of creation are a feature located at the heart of M16 or the Eagle Nebula. These are towering tendrils of cosmic dust and gas in stellar nurseries, where new active stars form.
