Several traffic obstructions are planned until 2025, from La Prairie to the Canadian-American border, due to construction work on Hydro-Québec’s Hertel-New York interconnection line. The line is due to be put into service in 2026.
Rang Saint-Marc is completely blocked to traffic, from Montée Signer to Route Édouard-VII, until May 24.
In addition, Highway 15 is partially blocked between km 21.4 and km 25.5, in Saint-Jacques-le-Mineur, towards the border, until January 20.
A partial obstruction is in progress on route 202 from Rang Saint-Claude, to Rang Saint-Georges, until March 28. As for rang Saint-Georges, it is completely blocked between route 202 and the Odelltown climb.
Other work will be announced in the coming months.
The major stages of the Hertel-New York line consist of the construction of concrete pipes and the installation of junction chambers, the installation of underground cables and electrical equipment and the backfilling and restoration of surfaces.
