CELEBRITIES He is regularly criticized for his cooking skills on social media, but that does not stop Brooklyn Beckham (24) from chasing his dream. The eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham will open his own pop-up restaurant in London on January 25 and 26.
Brooklyn Beckham serves five dishes at his pop-up restaurant: chicken tikka masala, wagyu bolognese, pork and shrimp dumplings, buffalo cauliflower wings with Brooklyn’s secret hot sauce and his infamous Nanny Peggy’s breakfast sandwich. “I learned to make the latter when I was five years old and it has been my favorite sandwich ever since. It is also one of my first memories of cooking,” the son of David and Victoria Beckham tells ‘Daily Mail’.
“I’ve always tried different types of food. I have a great passion for world cuisine.” He shares his love for cooking with his father. “Although I do think my breakfast sandwich tastes better,” he laughs. Beckham’s pop-up restaurant will be located in East London and will be open on January 25 and 26 between 5pm and 10pm. Enthusiasts can go there for a meal from ten pounds (about 11.7 euros).
Loads of criticism
Beckham regularly shares cooking videos with his 16.4 million followers on Instagram, although not everyone appears to be a fan of his cooking skills. He often gets mean comments thrown at him. “This is a heart attack on a plate”, “What a boring dish”, “You really can’t cook. The meat is still raw,” says the video below. Yet not everyone is negative. Some see the potential in the novice chef. For example, Beckham recently started a collaboration with Typhur Culinary. The cooking brand sponsors its videos.
