After the two came into the spotlight following the much-discussed guardianship of Elijah’s assets, his request to dismiss his divorce from Marieangela King (36) was rejected. The judge announced this on Wednesday.
Elijah Blue Allman’s request to dismiss his divorce from Marieangela King has been denied. This is confirmed by some court documents that were released on Wednesday and published in the American ‘The New York Post’. Allman, who originally filed for divorce but withdrew it a few weeks ago, must therefore divorce his wife, Marieangela King.
The judge ruled on Wednesday that – given all the fuss surrounding Cher’s attempts to gain full guardianship of Elijah’s assets – Allman’s request to withdraw the divorce is dismissed.

Allman first filed for divorce from Marieangela in November 2021 after about eight years of marriage. However, the two grew closer again and also appeared as a couple again in the court case for the curatorship two weeks ago.
Cher previously expressed her concerns that Allman cannot properly care for himself or “manage his own financial resources” and claimed that “any amount of money given to Elijah will immediately be spent on drugs, leaving Elijah without resources to take care of himself and Elijah’s life is in danger.” She is therefore committed to full control over his assets and finances. But her request was also rejected. Another hearing regarding the curatorship will take place on January 29.
