A police officer was able to uncover the crime of “kidnapping and torturing” a young man by 4 accused in the Fifth Settlement area.
Coincidence led the police officer to discover the incident while he was on his way to his home in the Fifth Settlement area, where he heard the screams of a young man and noticed that a group of people had kidnapped and tortured him under the pretext of disciplining him for having a relationship with the sister of one of them’s fiancée.
The beginning was when the Fifth Settlement Police Department in New Cairo received a notification from the Rescue Police about a report from a police officer who happened to be driving his car about the incident of kidnapping a citizen and torturing him to force him to sign trust receipts out of revenge against him.
Public Prosecution investigations revealed that when a police officer was passing by the Fifth Settlement area at night, heading to his house, he heard someone’s screams. The officer went to the source of those calls for help, where he was surprised by 3 people and a girl detaining a young man after he was kidnapped and taken to the area to force him to sign trust receipts.
Investigations revealed that the defendants were 3 young men and a girl who agreed among themselves to kidnap the victim after the fourth defendant, who is the sister of the first defendant’s fiancée, told them that he had an illegal relationship with her after promising her marriage, and evaded her and did not fulfill his promise, which prompted them to plan and commit the crime.
The police officer was able to notify the department’s investigations, and the security forces succeeded in arresting the accused and preparing a report on the incident, ordering the prosecution to detain them for 4 days pending investigations and completing the investigations.
