New Delhi. Global Firepower, a website that keeps an eye on global defense related information, has released the ranking of the world’s most powerful armies. Indian Army has secured fourth position in the Global Fire Power Military Strength Ranking 2024. In this ranking, United States is at first place, Russia is at second and China is at third. In the Military Strength Ranking 2024, the military strength of 145 countries has been assessed. In which more than 60 factors like number of troops, military equipment, financial stability, geographical location and available resources have been taken into account. These factors together determine the power index score. With the lowest scores indicating the strongest military capabilities.
Regarding its rankings, Global Fire Power has said that its unique, in-house formula allows small but technologically advanced countries to compete with larger, less developed powers. Military strength ranking is released every year. According to the assessment of Global Fire Power, India’s power index score is 0.1023. A score of 0.0000 is considered perfect. The power index score of America is 0.0699, of Russia is 0.0702 and of China is 0.0706.
