Carlos Alcaraz is the man of precocity records. After being the youngest number one in history and winning two Grand Slams in addition to a string of titles the Spaniard managed to reach a new level at the Australian Open.
The world number two has never lost in the first round of a Grand Slam since he started playing it and this clearly demonstrates that he is different from other players his age.
Only four players achieved the feat of winning more than 10 matches in the first round of a Grand Slam without ever losing and the world number two has done so 12 times which allows him to position himself in third place in this unique ranking, behind Björn Borg and Ken Rosewall, and ahead of the legendary Rod Laver.
Even Rafael Nadal; Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic did not do better than the young native del Palmar.

Alcaraz will face Lonrenzo Sonego
Carlitos already knows who his rival will be for the next round, it is the Italian Lorenzo Sonego, who defeated Daniel Evans after a fairly complicated match.
Alcaraz knows that he will be facing a determined opponent but he also knows that he is one of the big favorites of the tournament and unless an exceptional performance from Sonego, Alcaraz should advance to the third round.
