Australian Adrian Dalloste is fined after he threw a family of young children out of his cafe earlier this month.
The whole thing was filmed by cafe guest Laura Edwards, writes the local newspaper Townsville Bulletin.
The age difference is shocking
Edwards posted the video on social media, writing: “Adeles’ Café. Do not support. Repellent. Do not support this company.”
Since then, the video has been spread online and has been frequently discussed by parents.
“It was just an upset kid who needed help sorting through his feelings,” Edwards said.
After a series of reports in the Australian media, Adrian Dalloste is now breaking the silence.

Started howling
The café operator tells the local newspaper his version of what happened at Adele’s Café on Magnetic Island in Queensland:
The family entered the cafe with two children aged two and three.
When the children learned that they only got one ice cream to share, both started howling, according to Dalloste.
Reveals the truth: – Plain and simple
Dalloste claims that the eldest child acted out the most.
He says the child started tearing down the decorations in the cafe and throwing a drink bottle made of steel on the floor.
The family sat down in the cafe’s outdoor seating area, he claims.
– The children howled and cried for around fifteen minutes. They disturbed other guests who were trying to enjoy the food and the tranquility of the cafe. The crying and howling was constant and loud, he claims.

Threatened with the police
Dalloste went out and asked the family to leave.
– I intervened because the children vandalized the cafe and disturbed other guests, he says.
Dalloste says that he asked the family to leave the cafe in a nice way – but that they refused.
– I had to threaten the police to get them away, he claims.
Goes wrong: – Do not try again
Extra charge for loud children
In October last year, DinSide wrote about a restaurant in Georgia, USA, which has caused great reactions among parents.
The restaurant operates with an extra charge for adults who “can’t keep track of the children”.
– I remember thinking: “Is this for real?” one guest added Today.com.
Got a shock bill: – Alarming
Angry and shouting
The person says that they were there with four other families, and that there were a total of eleven children around the table.
According to the guest, the children behaved well, and were thus surprised when they were made aware of the fee, and were told that an extra 50 dollars (558 kroner) would be added to each bill since the children were too loud.
According to the guest, the owner was angry and shouted at her.
– He told us that we belonged at Burger King, said the guest, before the person said that they will never return to the restaurant.
