Israeli forces eliminated a “terrorist cell” with a precision airstrike in the Palestinian refugee camp of Balata, in the city of Nablus in occupied West Bankthe Israeli army announced today.
The military added that killed Abdullah Abu Salal, the “head of the terrorist infrastructure” of the camp, who planned to carry out an imminent, large-scale terrorist attack with its core members.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health also announced that a charred body was taken to Rafidiya Government Hospital in Nablus after Israeli forces bombed a vehicle near the Balata settlement.
Heavy Israeli shelling of the southern Gaza Strip
As for the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military announced that six Palestinian fighters were killed in Israeli strikes, specifying that among them was a Hamas official in the southern region who was responsible for interrogating suspected espionage.
In a statement summarizing its operations in recent hours, the Israeli military noted that the death of Hamas counterintelligence officer Bilal Nofal “has a significant impact on the terrorist organization’s ability to develop and strengthen its capabilities.”
