The confirmation of De Rossi’s appointment as AS Roma’s new manager was announced directly by AS Roma via their official website.
They confirmed that the legend will handle Paulo Dybala et al until the end of the season.
“AS Roma is pleased to confirm that Daniele De Rossi has been appointed as our new head coach until 30 June 2024,” wrote Roma’s official statement.

De Rossi himself admitted that he was very happy to be joining AS Roma again. He promised to give his best so that Roma could return to strength again.
“Being able to work as the new coach of this club is difficult for me to describe. Everyone knows how much Roma means to me,” said De Rossi.
“We have no choice but to return to competitiveness, fighting to achieve our goals. That will be a priority for the staff and me at this club,” he concluded.
