MSI introduces the MAG 341CQP. This is a 34” monitor with QD OLED technology and a resolution of 3440×1440 pixels. The screen has an 1800R curvature, an aspect ratio of 21:9 and a refresh rate of 175Hz. It is not clear how much the monitor should cost.
MSI reports that the MAG 341CQP supports a maximum peak brightness of 1000cd/m². The screen also has a VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. The panel has a response time of 0.03ms and supports 10bit colors, which means it can display 1.07 billion color gradations. The monitor also supports VRR and has KVM functionality.
The MAG 341CQP features according to MSI has two HDMI 2.1 connections and a DisplayPort 1.4 port. There is also a USB-C port, a USB-B port and two USB-A connections. The USB-C connection not only supports image display, but also power supply up to 15W.
MSI has built software into the monitor that should better protect the panel against burn-in. For example, the company states boundry detection. This software ensures that the brightness of borders around windows is reduced after a certain number of seconds. Through taskbar detection the brightness of the taskbar is then reduced again. Thanks to the use of graphene, heat could be dissipated more easily. As a result, according to MSI, the monitor does not need to be equipped with an active cooling system. MSI reports that the MAG 341CQP will be available from the end of January. It is not yet clear how much the monitor will cost.
