Mario Basler has praised FC Bayern for signing Eric Dier. The German record champions are currently plagued by defensive personnel problems – also because two professionals, Minjae Kim and Noussair Mazraoui, have been assigned to the Asian and African Cups respectively.
“So I think this is a very good reinforcement for Bayern. He’s also flexible in defense and can also play right-back. He can play central defender,” explained Basler in the “Basler ballert” podcast. “So it’s a good reinforcement.”
Dier moved to Isar on loan from Tottenham Hotspur last week, but was not yet in the squad for the 3-0 win against Hoffenheim.
