Madrid, Jan 16 (EFECOM).- OHLA, through its subsidiary Judlau Contracting, has been awarded a contract to improve the accessibility of 13 New York subway stations for 528 million euros (577.2 million dollars).

Overall, OHLA will build a total of 18 new adapted elevators and four ramps, in addition to carrying out other improvements and repair work at 13 stations.

The works will be carried out in four stations in Manhattan and Queens, three in Brooklyn, one in the Bronx and one in Staten Island.

In addition to the civil works, new electrical and communications equipment, architectural finishes, platform edges or adapted boarding areas, among others, will be installed.

Through this subsidiary, the group carries out the design and construction of package 1 in the New York subway, which also includes the installation of 18 new elevators and other improvements in eight stations located in the five boroughs of New York City. York.

Additionally, he undertakes design and construction work in Brooklyn where he makes accessibility improvements at the historic Borough Hall station; renovation work at five stations on the Flushing Line in Queens, and structural repairs to bridges and elevated structures on the Dyre Avenue and White Plains Road subway lines in the Bronx.
