“Palestinians live in Gaza and therefore Palestinians will rule it in the future. The future government of the Gaza Strip must grow out of the Gaza Strip,” Gallant told a news conference.
“The intense phase of Israel’s war with Hamas militants in the southern part of the Gaza Strip will soon end,” Gallant said.
“We have made it clear that the intensive stage of maneuvering will last approximately three months,” he told a news conference: “In southern Gaza, we will achieve this and it will end soon.”
In recent weeks, the army has stepped up its military operations and bombardment in the southern Gaza cities of Khan Younis and Rafah.
