During the recent CES events, AMD presented the Ryzen 8000G series of processors for desktop computers, along with the Ryzen 8000HS and U processors for laptops, and AMD also presented the Ryzen 9 7940HX processors from the Ryzen 7000 HX series of processors.
Asus recently announced the company’s latest version of the TUF Gaming A16 mid-range laptop, which was launched with a Ryzen 9 7940HX processor, which mimics the Ryzen 9 7945HX with a lower frequency of 5.2 GHz.
These processors come with the same number of cores and threads, and also the same cache capacity, but the Ryzen 9 7940HX chip did not appear officially on the AMD website, so the full specifications have not been confirmed.
Previous expectations indicated that the Ryzen 9 7840HX chip will be launched with the Ryzen 9 7940HX, while other details indicated that it will be another model of the Ryzen 9 7845HX chip with a different frequency, so we are awaiting official details from AMD during the coming period.
